Merry Christmas from the Cox Family!
Merry Christmas from MALAYSIA and from the Cox Family!
This lecture phase has been AWESOME! We have been experiencing radical transformation as a school and as individuals as God has been moving in incredible ways.
Throughout DTS Cheyenne and I have done in depth learning and studying 11 different subjects each week; biblical principles, spiritual disciplines and concepts from 11 different speakers. From the Promises of God to worldview, we have been encouraged to grow in our understanding of who God is, and to solidify our dependence on Him in every way.
In this season, we’ve been learning what it actually looks like to have Christ at the center of our marriage, and in the center of our individual lives. God has been setting us free in areas we never knew would need to be healed, and showing us new aspects of his tender yet relentless love that He pours over us daily. It truly is a sweet romance we’ve been swept up into in this life with God.
We are now in MALAYSIA, and we are here because of you! You partnered with God, and partnered with us. Whether through encouragement, financial donations, or prayer-bank donations, you’ve been a part of making this possible.
It’s pretty incredible here. We’ve been adjusting for the past few days, as well as getting to meet some of the local church family here and celebrating Christmas in an apartment in a city in the tropics! (Weird, I know..)
I’ve been assigned the ministry coordinator role for our time on outreach, and I’m currently getting in contact with a few churches in Kuala Lumpur, looking to be Jesus in any way we can. Our heart is to tell people about Jesus, and be His hands and feet in any way that we can.
Cheyenne has been assigned our family fun facilitator and she blessed us all last night by arranging a white elephant christmas party, complete with cookies, cocoa, and a yule log burning on our apartments TV Screen (We have a freakin’ TV screen)
We look forward to updating you all more, and would ask that you continue fighting for us in prayer during this time. We want God’s will to be done in EVERYTHING we do here, whether a donut shop visit, or playing cricket with Muslim kids in our neighborhood.
We sincerely want to thank each and every one of you. If you’ve prayed for us, if you’ve donated, if you’ve encouraged us… you’ve made this possible. We’re experiencing God in ways we would have never had before. He is showing us what it means to be fully abandoned for Him. To die to ourselves and to be surrendered to His call. It’s stretching at times, but so exciting and so worth it!
Thank you, and we love you,
Trevor and Cheyenne Cox
